The YMCA has a presence in 120 countries around the world. The YMCA of Greater Seattle has a long history of commitment to global work. Throughout the years the Seattle Y has invested in youth, young adults and communities' members' growth and journey in becoming global leaders by harnessing the power of the global YMCA. 

We believe that as our local community becomes more diverse, it is imperative for young people to become more culturally and globally competent. The Y supports global competence by helping young people investigate the world, recognize different perspectives, communicate ideas and collaborate with diverse audiences. 

In 2020, the YMCA of Greater Seattle will offer TWO trips for teens in the summer for youth entering grades 10 - 12 in Fall 2020:

• Shanghai, China- July (TBD), 2020
• Kobe, Japan - July 26th- Aug 4th, 2020
